Hercules & Xena: Wizards of the Screen

This entertaining attraction is fun even if you’re not a fan of the shows. This presentation is a demonstration of visual and sound effects used in creating the syndicated programs. If you’re interested in learning how computer generated images, sound effects and blue screen effects are generated and then coordinated, this attraction is for you! Volunteers are selected from the audience to help the special effects team manipulate mechanical creatures and then get morphed into a monster yourself (with the help of the digital effects team).

In the last part of the show you can become a Foley artist, (named named after Jack Foley, an assistant director at Universal who created early movie sound effects.) and mix the sound effects with the show’s soundtrack. The audience gets to see the development of the final product, but it’s more fun to volunteer. This presentation is 15 minutes long.
