The Nickelodeon attraction really emphasizes the fact that Universal Studios Orlando is not just a theme park, but also a working studio. This attraction is the World Headquarters of Nickelodeon and is the place where most of the original programming is filmed. You’ll walk through a 45,000 square-ft building where you can look down upon the sets and production facilities, get a glimpse of the make-up and costumes department and even get to see the kitchen where Gak and Slime are created. The tour ends up in the Game lab where parents and kids can play games based on popular Nick shows. One audience member is lucky enough to get slimed!

Visitors to Universal can stay for a taping of the show by getting tickets at Guest Relations when you enter the park. Check the park’s production schedule to see if anything is being taped or call (407) 363-8586. The tour takes approximately a half hour, and is much more entertaining if something is being filmed. Don’t miss the Green Slime Geyser outside the studios, it spews slime at any time!
