TOON LAGOON
ATTRACTION FACT SHEET

As guests enter Toon Lagoon they are surrounded by more than 150 life-size and lifelike images that, until now, had only appeared in two dimensions. From the snow-capped peaks of Ripsaw Fails - home of the first flume ride beneath the water -- to the brunette ringlets framing Betty Boop's face, Toon Lagoon brings each character to life in an environment which melts the boundaries between imagination and reality, inviting the entire family to leap into the pages of the Sunday funnies and romp around this animated universe with many of the world's best loved characters.

Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls

Dudley Do-Right must save Nell from evil Snidely Whiplash in this rip-roaring flume ride named after the fictional city from the popular 1960s cartoon, Rocky and Bullwinkle. Guests assist the guileless Canadian Mountie and embark on a wild and wet rescue attempt around a 400,000-gallon lagoon culminating in a drop through the rooftop of a ramshackle dynamite shack and an explosive dive 15-feet below water level, it is the first flume to ever send riders plummeting below the water surface.

Me Ship, The Olive

Popeye the Sailor Man has opened his three-story boat for all his pals to enjoy. Situated on the water's edge of Toon Lagoon, this family-friendly interactive play land features dozens of participatory activities from bow to stern. Sweet Pea's Playpen is crawling with pint-sized guests while older siblings team up at the Cargo Crane in an attempt to drench unsuspecting Bilge-Rat Barges riders. Whistles toot bells clang and organs play at the touch, pull or push of a button in this unsinkable discovery environment.

Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges

Popeye's archenemy Bluto is the proprietor of this establishment so it's a certainty that something rough and tumble is going on here. Guests soon discover they are in for a bumping, churning, twisting, turning white-water raft ride with a top speed of 16 feet per- second. Before the whirling is over, the raft and all 12 of its occupants have been squirted with water by guests firing from water cannons aboard Popeye's Boat, spun into an Octopus Grotto where they encounter an 18-foot tall 14-foot wide creature with five 10 to 12-foot long tentacles bulging with water and whirled into a fully-operational boat wash where they may become completely soaked.

Comic Strip Lane

Beetle Bailey, Hagar The Horrible and Krazy Kat are just three of the nearly 80 characters who inhabit this lively jaunt through some of the most endearing comic strips of all time. Guests can literally visit locations only imagined by millions of comic strip readers, such as Cathy's Ice Cream Parlor. Blondie's: Home of the Dagwood stacks up against any sandwich shop and guests are "a-mazed" following a visit to Pandemonium Cartoon Circus.
