Everyone should get a thrill (or chill) from
Alfred Hitchcock -- The Art of Making Movies, but fans of the "master of
suspense" will really appreciate this presentation. It reviews some of his
achievements in film and takes clips from some of the 53 movies he made for Universal.
Some of the highlights include unseen clips from the 3-D version of Dial M for Murder
and a re-creation of the famous shower scene from Psycho.
Later, guests can stand on a replica of the Statue of Libertys
torch and place themselves in the middle of a Hitchcock movie! This interactive portion of
the presentation is a great demonstration of some of Hitchs techniques. This area
also includes a full-size set of Rear Window, where you can try to solve a murder. The
entire presentation takes around 40 minutes, but you are able to skip the post-movie
interactive displays (but youd miss out on some interesting stuff). The 3-D version
of The Birds is incredible! Too intense for small children.
