| The most
prominent structure in Fantasyland is obviously Cinderellas Castle. It stands 180 ft
tall and serves as one of the main entrances to the park. You really should try to enter
the park through the castle because that's the sure way to get swept away in the magical
nature of Fantasyland. Walking
through the tunnel from Central Plaza to Fantasyland is magical in and of itself. On hot
summer days, passage through the castle's archway provides a cool, shady respite from the
sun. When you leave the darkness of the tunnel and step into the sunlight again, you'll
feel like you have traveled to a magical place - and you'll be right.
Fantasyland is probably the most crowded
part of the Magic Kingdom. Its the ideal place to bring the little ones as the rides are
based on imagination and creativity rather than sheer thrills.
In fact, there are no genuine thrill rides
in this section of the park (especially since the removal of the popular Mr.
Toads Wild Ride), but there are some of the all-time classic Disney
attractions like Its a Small World and Peter Pans Flight.
One great way to get to Tomorrowland from
Fantasyland is to take the Skyway. These small gondolas afford a nice
aerial view of the
park and give you a chance to get off your feet. |
