The Universe of Energy

This incredible pavilion houses the "Ellen’s Energy Adventure" ride. This 45-minute presentation starring comedienne Ellen DeGeneres is an educational attraction that explains the origins and usage of energy. The first segment of the three-part show has Ellen as a contestant on Jeapardy!, where her lack of knowledge on the subject of energy is revealed. With the help of Bill Nye the Science Guy, Ellen and the audience embark on an adventure that takes us to the time of the dinosaurs. Six 96-seat vehicles creep through a huge pre-historic forest that feature the largest animatronic figures ever built. Children love the huge dinosaurs and unique style of presentation. The vehicles then position themselves in front of three 30-ft tall screens to see a film about the world’s energy issues. An interesting fact to note is that the large mirrors on the outside of the Universe of Energy are actually collecting the solar energy that powers the ride.

The ride takes huge groups of people at a time (580), but if you don’t make it into the seating you’ll have a 45-minute wait. Try to time it so you walk right in or come back for the next show.
