Safari Village is the home of the Tree of
Life, the unmistakable icon of Animal Kingdom. Just like Cinderellas Castle in the
Magic Kingdom, The Tree of Life reminds people that they are in a very special
place. Safari Village is built around this icon and reflects much of the artistry and
craftsmanship of the tree itself.
Safari Village is an amalgamation of the
colorful marketplaces of Asia, Africa and Polynesia. Disney hired 50 artists from
Indonesia to create authentic original art for the park. Youll appreciate the art,
but the main attraction is still definitely the animals.
Surrounding the tree is the Tree of Life
Gardens, a trail that takes you past animals in their natural setting. You can see
flamingos, lemurs and other uncommon animals as well tropical plants and wild flowers.
You can see the gardens on your way to see Its
Tough to be a Bug, the terrific 3-D movie that is housed inside the Tree of Life.
As the center of the action, some of the
parks guest services are located in Safari Village. Here you can find restrooms,
first aid and the Animal Kingdom tipboard.
